I haven't tried KDE4 in combination with X2Go yet; I prefer the KDE 3.x 
series, which has been forked as "Trinity, so I can't tell you what 
you'd see with KDE4 once sound works again.

In KDE3/Trinity, you select ALSA, which then in turn connects with 
pulseaudio (though the name "pulseaudio" doesn't show up anywhere except 
in kmix).
