Client-side is Linux or Windows?
With Linux, there normally is a pulseaudio daemon running locally. You
have to make sure to enable network socket binding for this local
daemon.
If client-side is Windows, the pulseaudio daemon is fully handled by
X2Go Client.
The server-side pulseaudio daemon is irrelevant for X2Go sessions and
should not even be started (disable in autostart settings of your
server-side desktop shell).
