Sorry I don't have the time to have a deeper look but have you tried
walking manually through the process of setting up the share? Maybe
feedback from the command line will highlight the problem.  You'd need
to examine the script in /usr/bin or wherever it is installed to see
what it is doing.  Good luck - John
