Just as a counter feedback. I have tested nxcomp 3.5.0-2 on several  
systems (Debian squeeze, Ubuntu lucid) and the problem does not occur  
here.

However, I have observed such failures before. Does the problem  
persist after server reboot (that is after restart of dbus & co)?
