Feel free to use your account on fylgja.das-netzwerkteam.de to do the work.

/usr/bin/linguist-qt4
/usr/bin/poedit

Of course, you can do the translation work on the console, but that is  
a bit awkward. I actually do not know, if there is a console base tool  
for easy-translation of .ts and .po files.
