I created a bug report, in case it is a real bug. I also included a link to
a bug which is a few years old.

Now, you wrote Maybe someone has done some cleanup in the .x2go directory
or even in the home.
I assume you mean the remote ubuntu?
Unlikely.
Would you suggest reinstalling X2Go Server on that machine?
Or what is the most straightforward solution?
