It might be half-X2Go-specific.

Please make sure that at least an RSA host server key is enabled in OpenSSHd on
the RHEL server. The technology X2Go Client uses (libssh) does currently not
support EC or ED keys.

Regular ssh is OpenSSH's client. That's not helping much in X2Go-context,
unfortunately.
