Does not free you from writing a bit of Bash/Perl ;) . If you provide
Mike with a snippet that outputs "WARNING: XHOST is set to +", I'm sure
he'll C&P it into the appropriate startup stript. That way it will at
least end up in some log - and mike saves a lot of time looking into
this....
