We have the same problem with Ubuntu 12.04 64bit and Firefox 14. I have tested 
also with FreeNX on the same installation and the problem occures also in this 
setup. 
The cause is not the shockwave player (tried also Gnash) because this manifests 
itself also with the VLC plugin and I guess it does also with any other plugin 
which renders stuff (video, shockwave flash, etc). The same issue can not be 
recreated on a non X2GO/FreeNX setup (meaning on a regular desktop).
Also using Chromium Browser and shockwave flash doesn't create problems so, so 
far only Firefox seems to be affected.

Can I provide you with some help in order to find the root cause of this ?
