Used to work without any glitches using:
ii x2goclient 3.01-5
x2goclient qt4 client

But now using latest x2go client:
[whoami at localhost ~]# dpkg -l | grep -i -e x2go -e nx

I either get following message:
"The remote proxy closed the connection while negotiating
the session. This may be due to the wrong authentication
credentials passed to the server"

-- OR --

"The connection with the remote server was shut down.
Please check the state of your network connection."

-- OR --
It crashes with the following...:

[whoami at localhost ~]# x2goclient
ONMainWindow constructor

Can't load translator (:/x2goclient_en_ca) !

Can't load translator :/qt_en_CA
ONMainWindows constructor finished, home Directory is:
"/net/wul/home/whoami"

read 3 sessions from config file
Have key, starting session

start new ssh connection

setting SSH DIR to "/net/wul/home/whoami/ssh"
ssh connection ok

continue normal x2go session

Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Note that this behaviour occurs with all Ubuntu builds... The old lenny
based build works fine.
