<snip>
Interesting - we have seen a lot of this, too, and had just assumed it
was an error in the substantial customizations we had made to the
scripts. We have noticed that, when users are cutoff, e.g., the Internet
connection drops, they are presented with a list of running sessions
when they reconnect but attaching to a running session almost never
works.
We have a related nightmare of a problem with a user running Windows XP
on a very old computer who can almost never successfully connect.
Sometimes the session starts and then never completes. We can see the
"running" session in the database but we know the session has not
started because the memory in the vserver is only 20MB - i.e., no KDE.
The same user is constantly getting incorrect password errors to the
point that OSSEC locks them out of any communication with the X2Go
Server. This is no matter how carefully we enter the password.
We have been assuming this last problem has something to do with timing,
i.e., the computer takes so long to respond that something times out and
is considered a wrong password. We have great hopes that the new client
using libssh will respond more quickly and solve this problem as we
suspect it will be much faster working directly with the Windows network
stack than Cygwin shimming its own between the application and the
Windows stack as well as adding its own overhead to a very slow
computer. I hope we will find out this weekend when we try putting this
user on our experimental vcxsrv/libssh version - John
