Hmmm... I thought something similar. The hard-coding of application in  
a script can indeed be improved. I think this will be very interesting  
who offer single applications as services (embed  
X2go-server-side-applications into local desktops).

We should re-think this model for post-Baikal though. I would not  
touch it now...
