Thanks for asking.  I would think as long as we do not require any of
the KDE libraries, i.e., it is true standalone Qt, there is no problem
discontinuing GTK.  The portability seems to be the whole point of Qt.

However, will you maintain the CLI client? We have found that handy for
troubleshooting and can think of some other useful applications for it.
