I just want to add that it is also not related to a missing loopback
device on my system as last time [2]. (The error messages were also
different back then.)

        $ ip link
        1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 16436 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN 
            link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
