Hi,
Our client is not able to use her Numeric Keypad. The only option is to switch NumPad Off, which switches in On. Ie NumLock key works in opposite way. I tried the same with my X2Glient, and NumLock works as it should.
Server: Ubuntu 4.5.0-1042-azure Deskop: Mate Client: v. 4.1.2.1
Client keyboard: HP KU-1156
The only difference seems to be the keyboard model.

Hi
Try to istall some software to see the "led" status in the display.
Look if the num-lock led is in the same estatus as keyboard is.
If not, install (if not installed) a virtual key-board and change the num-loc status with it.
Does it solve?

Hi Alfons,
Thank you very much for advice. Luckily, our client made a false alarm. I tested num pad by HP kb and all worked as should.
Btw, I could not find a Ubuntu virtual kb pkg with a num pad.
Our client is using X2Go also via Citrix TS client, where they have experiences some kb problems. I will examine that problem more closely first.
Thanks, Martti

This sounds like NumLock being out of sync. Is this a reconnected session?
You can check the NumLock status (and other) with xset inside and outside the session.
$ xset q Keyboard Control: auto repeat: on key click percent: 0 LED mask: 00000002 XKB indicators: 00: Caps Lock: off 01: Num Lock: on 02: Scroll Lock: off 03: Compose: off 04: Kana: off 05: Sleep: off 06: Suspend: off 07: Mute: off 08: Misc: off 09: Mail: off 10: Charging: off 11: Shift Lock: off 12: Group 2: off 13: Mouse Keys: off [...]
Does the status match the behaviour you see?
Uli
Thanks, Uli
I will use this while testing with Citrix connection.

Hi Uli,
They are using Windows Terminal Server via Citrix. The TS VM has X2Go installed, which connects to our Ubuntu cloud server. -> 2 remote sessions chained.

Thx for the clarification. BTW: This sounds like asking for clipboard problems... ;-)

The question is: Is that setup really necessary, or would X2Go possibly work via an SSH Jump Host or Web Proxy, too? Both Citrix and X2Go have a Published Application mode, so maaaybe you could use the local desktops of the user's machines and display the Published Applications coming in via Citrix as well as via X2Go seamlessly in the local desktops?

Good to know there a workarounds to try with. I have to familiarize with them first.
