Hi,
I want to be able to give remote support via deskstop sharing over the internet. I have set up a linux computer for a friend. Now I want to be able to see and interact with his desktop while we are both sitting at our homes. Is this possible with x2go? As far as I understand I would need direct access to the x2go server running on my friends computer. How to achieve this over the internet?
Thanks, Wolfgang

You'll have to have access to your friend's computer on port 22, so I'd say the easiest is if you set up a VPN to his home net like WireGuard or whatever your friend's router can offer, then have some DynDNS service running in case you don't want to find out their IP address each time you connect.
Or save yourself hours and hours of your lifetime and use TeamViewer. Strange thing to say on a x2go chat? Use the tool that gets you results least effort.
