This is not a priority project, but I'm working on it form time to time.

Tried now without using likewise-open as you said, but instead krb5, samba, and winbind... and it works fine. Now sound is through, and authenthication is working fine with just username

I still cannot mount folders yet, nor with local user login or with windows users. I get a popup screen saying: Could not display "home/domain/user..etc(sshfs-disk)". The file is of an unknown type

Maybe I need to add something in smb.conf or nsswitch.conf ??

Tried downloading the latest version of ubuntu (10.10) with likewise 6.0 integrated, but that is even worse! Cannot get the remote desktop at all, after the x2go black screen, everything turns black.

I can still logon with x2go using a local (ubuntu) user though.

Also, when setting the default domain to 'true' I can login to ubuntu just using my windows username.. that's ok. But when I logoff and logon as an ubuntu administrator, and try to type "sudo su" in the terminal, I get the error: unable to chache group domain\grouop, already exists

No, on Linux you mostly never have to reinstall. In your particular
case you probably have to delete the winbind cache files in
/var/cache/samba (99% guess).

So we may need to stay with windows terminal services for the moment.

I anyone got this working (x2go form windows, using your windows credentials so we do not have to recreate users/passwords on the ubuntu machine) I would very much like to know!

I have a similar setup working at a customer's place (without
likewise-open though, I am using ordinary Samba there) and it works
flawlessly...

I am not sure about your budget, but it is possible to hire me for
consultancy on issues like this (unfortunately, I can not do this in
my spare time, I hope you understand).
