Dear maintainer,
when I try to start x2goclient on Windows I get an error message:
X-Server lässt sich nicht starten. Bitte überprüfen Sie Ihre Installation. (X-server cannot be started, please, check your installation.)
Reinstalling x2goclient did not solve the problem.
Starting as administrator does not help either.
Please, advice how find the root cause.
Best regards
Heinrich Schuchardt

The cause of my problem was a configuration setting pointing to a "user defined X-server" which did not exist.
After changing to "integrated X-server" everything worked smoothly.
X-Server lässt sich nicht starten. Bitte überprüfen Sie Ihre Installation. (X-server cannot be started, please, check your installation.)
It would be helpful to change the popup to something like "X-server cannot be started, please, check your X-server configuration in the X2Go client."
Best regards
Heinrich
