Hi there, I am new to X2GO. No matter which resolution I set for my labtop Dell XPS13, the fonts are always too big and I even can't see the entire screen. Did anyone meet this before? Thank you.

Hi Lisa, this sounds more like a DPI issue than a resolution issue to me. What's the DPI setting on your client, and what DPI value (if any) did you set in the X2Go session configuration?

Dear Stefan, Thank you so much. I tried to set the DPI in session preference to be 60/300. There are no differences. It's still very big.
Best, Lisa

Hi Lisa,
I understand the following might be hard to do since all the fonts are so big, but please try to run the following commands in an X2Go session (If you can't get a terminal visible on your screen, please change the session type from "LXDE", which you seem to be using, judging from your first screenshot, to "Single Application", and select "Terminal" in the drop down box that will appear on the right after selecting that option):
xdpyinfo | grep dots
and
ps waux | grep $USER | grep x2goagent | grep dpi
For these commands sequences, do not take screenshots; it's sufficient to copy-paste the results. For the second command sequence, we don't even need the full output, only the number after "dpi"
However, please do send us a screenshot of your session configuration's Input/Output tab, where the DPI setting is visible.
If you're using custom settings for the X Server, we'll need to know these as well. You can check whether or not you are using the default settings by selecting "Options" in the top menu bar of X2GoClient, followed by "Settings". If there is no tab that has "X.Org" in its name, or if there is, but the first radio button on it is selected, then you are using our default settings. If the lower radio button of the two is selected, then we will need a screenshot of that tab as well.
Lastly, I noticed you're writing from cam.ac.uk. If you'd like to look for on-site help, you might want to contact Richard Rigby, Linux Systems Administrator, Faculty of Environment, University of Leeds - he was kind enough to write a testimonial for us a few years ago (<https://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/doc:success-stories:x2go-in-faculty-of-environment-university-of-leeds>), so I'd guess he knows how to properly set up X2GoClient for your environment. Asking him in person might be faster than playing E-Mail-Ping-Pong here (though we'll try to help you as good as we can, too, of course).
Kind Regards, Stefan Baur
