I'm running Scientific Linux 7.4 on the server, and Windows 7 on the client. I want to access my accounts (non-privileged) local desktop remotely. I log in and select the local desktop option in the client. I get a flash of the desktop (with the wrong screen size remotely anyway - I see a small part of the desktop) and then the Windows X server crashes.

This still happens with Windows 7 and X2Go Client 4.1.2.0. And X2Go server x2goserver-4.0.1.22-2.el7.x86_64 ...

Pinging again - should I submit this as a bug somewhere?

If you launch the client from the commandline you can add a -debug flag and get some output to help troubleshoot. You can also up the log level on the server.

Please open a bug in the x2go bugtracker.
Please be aware the remote desktop access is slow and hardly anyone is using it. So it is low prio in the development and not tested often. It is better to always use a real session, even when working locally. So you can reconnect to that very session wherever you are.
