I reported some time ago that on my setup: fedora 30 client fedora 30 server
Everytime the server restarts and I establish a new session, I need to toggle the setting of 'configure keyboard'. I have on the client remapped capsLock -> Ctrl. Unless I toggle the setting from the setting I used the previous time the mapping is not working.
So if I'm using autoconfigure keyboard
the next time the server reboots and I start a new session (I only start a new session on reboot), I'll need to set
don't configure keyboard
Any ideas? Neal

Does this also happen if - instead of rebooting - you logout of the session an create a new one?
