Same with the heuler-version.

I have seen this once or twice, but it was not reproducible.
What are your settings for SSH authentication in the session profile
configuration? Can you make a screenshot?
Is ssh-agent running and have you loaded your SSH private keys into
ssh-agent? Or does pyhoca-gui try to detect some default private key
file in ~/.ssh?
What hostkey types are configured on the X2Go Server (check
/etc/ssh/sshd_config, HostKey parameter).

I have seen this once or twice, but it was not reproducible.
I encountered it on two separate machines - each with xfce-desktop and a debian wheezy.
What are your settings for SSH authentication in the session profile configuration? Can you make a screenshot?
tried all: with ssh-key, with or without agent forwarding, only password ...
Is ssh-agent running and have you loaded your SSH private keys into
ssh-agent is running.
ssh-agent? Or does pyhoca-gui try to detect some default private key file in ~/.ssh?
I tried both. With key-auth - but also with password-auth.

I can connect from the x2goclient from the same computer to the same server and I can connect with an older version of pyhoca-gui on another computer to the server.
thanks for further ideas ...
