Update:
I tried to copy only the running /opt/x2gothinclient and the /srv/tftp/ from an old running installation (install from 2012/01/17) And it's running perfect.
I found out, that there are some changes in the structure (or something missing) under the old running structure I have a folder /opt/x2gothinclient/chroot/usr/lib/nx/X11 under the new I didn't.
--- okay next I did a chroot in each environment an checked the installed packages --- working: x2go-keyring 2011.12.07+squeeze~main~12~build1 x2gocdmanager 1.0.1.3-0~x2go1.1+squeeze~main~274~build1 x2goclient 3.99.0.3-0~x2go4+squeeze~main~129~build1 x2gosmartcardrules 1.0.1.3-0~x2go1.1+squeeze~main~274~build1 x2gothinclient 1.0.1.3-0~x2go1.1+squeeze~main~274~build1 x2gothinshutdown 1.0.1.3-0~x2go1.1+squeeze~main~274~build1 x2gousbmount 1.0.1.3-0~x2go1.1+squeeze~main~274~build1 libnx-x11 2:3.5.0.2-0+squeeze~main~199~build1 nxproxy 2:3.5.0.2-0+squeeze~main~199~build1
not working: pinentry-x2go 0.7.5.0-0~x2go1+squeeze~main~12~build1 x2go-keyring 2011.12.07+squeeze~main~12~build1 x2gocdmanager 1.0.1.6-0~x2go2+squeeze~main~306~build1 x2goclient 3.99.1.1-0~x2go1+squeeze~main~194~build1 x2gosmartcardrules 1.0.1.6-0~x2go2+squeeze~main~306~build1 x2gothinclient 1.0.1.6-0~x2go2+squeeze~main~306~build1 x2gousbmount 1.0.1.6-0~x2go2+squeeze~main~306~build1 nxproxy 2:3.5.0.12-0+squeeze~main~298~build1
So far I get to the point, where I just use the old working setup, but I'll test so that updating/upgrading work in future. But I still run around that point, that it has something todo with xauth, but deleting the .Xauthority has no effect. xauth list brings 2 entrys ...
But actually I'm not so deep inside xauth/X11 forward so I still have to go deeper inside. Maybe now a hint from anybody ?

Hi Stefan,
Today I reinstalled the whole system, the only change I made was to switch from ubuntu 10.04 amd64 Server to ubuntu 10.04 amd64 desktop but still the same failure. So I guess there is some error with X11 auth inside the tce. I'll go deeper inside tomorrow.
Keep you informed

Hi all, I have actually the problem to connect via TCE to the server (fresh install), when I use the normal Client under e.g. Ubuntu, there is no problem, I can connect, work etc. The problem itself is only with TCE and I'm running in circles. System Ubuntu 10.04 amd64, Gnome x2goserver/xsession: 3.1.0.1 x2gognomebindings: 2.0.1.3
Client boot up via pxe, everything perfect ... but then, when I try to connect: I get the popup Message : Connection failed head: cannot open /home/<username>/.x2go/C-XXXXXXXXXXX_stDGNOME-dp32/cmdoutput' for reading: No such file or directory sed: -e expression #1, char 4: unterminated 's' command.
When I say 'Show details' I get:

I was so confused, that I added now the line: allowed_users=anybody into /etc/X11/Xwrapper.config ... but nothing
I can connect via ssh -X to the server and get for e.g. libreoffice displayed on my local machine. I tried different users ... nope ...same.
Hopefully somebody have a hint :)
Thanks in advance Torsten
