Indeed it works now!!

I wasn't aware that xmodmap is a actually a program printing out the keyboard mapping.

I have now a file fix_keyboard.sh on the server's desktop which I run and then the keyboard it is working!!

Would it be possible to integrate this file to run in the X2go session directly?

I'm anything but a Mac expert, so maybe I'm completely off here ...
but the text you quoted says you should *create* a keymap definition
file *using* xmodmap. So, *run the command xmodmap* to *create the
keymap definition file*.
The last line you quoted even lists the exact command, I would say, so
you should end up with a file "osx-keymap" *generated by* the xmodmap
command.
