yet, I really don't like KDE anyway but maintain it on my platforms for my customers.

IIRC no... At least none not requiring a newer GLX extension. I guess there is a software rendering fallback, but this still fails with NX. GNOME 3 Flashback/Fallback don't work either, so X2Go is sadly currently screwed when it comes to these DE's...
