A different answer perhaps, do you need to run zoom client? They have a web app that runs on browser.

Hi Uli,
I know it seems like an odd thing to do, but it is needed more often than you might think. I don't think the published applications mode would solve my issue however I will give it a try. I have submitted the issue to Zoom but so far nothing happening with it. Honestly, its an edge case and probably not something most people would run into. Right now I am doing the same as what you suggested with the fullscreen app and sharing the whole X2go window on my laptop. It works but isn't ideal.
Stephan, Sorry I can't figure out how to reply to your message in digest mode. The X20go was just a typo, sorry! As I mentioned to Uli I will try published application mode and see if that works for me. The web client doesn't work for hosting a meeting as far as I can tell, it just tries to launch the desktop app. I know I can join a meeting with just the webclient, but I don't believe I can share a screen with it. I'll look more into it though and see.
Thank you for your responses!

If it is crashing this usually means it does not properly check if the X server (x2goagent in this case) offers all the required features. I would suggest to post a bug report to Zoom, but in this case I doubt it will be of any benefit since even a working version will not be really useful inside nx/x2go. But you could try to fullscreen your window and then start the zoom client locally and share the whole session. Or use x2go in single application or published applications mode.

Hello,
When I connect over X20go to my Debian 10.9 workstation and try to start the Zoom Desktop Client it crashes immediately without even showing up. If I start it on the workstation locally it starts without issue. Has anyone else run into this issue, and if so have you found a solution?
Use case: Sharing a window on the remote system during a meeting. Sharing the entire x20go session window is not desirable.
Thank you!
