There is definitely a bug in x2go operating under Ubuntu 16.04.1.
I upgraded a machine that was running Ubuntu 15.10. I have my x2go client
configured to use display 1. Under 15.10, when I connected it did use my entire screen but I could still switch work spaces using control+alt+arrows as desired.
After this same machine was upgraded to 16.04.1 LTS, when I connect it
uses my whole screen locally but creates a window in it that is 600x800 or thereabouts of the remote machine instead of using the entire display.
I changed nothing else when I did this upgrade. It worked properly
prior to "do-release-upgrade" and not after.
