Hi Robert,
Nomachine claims to work with it (I tried and it does - ish), and in fact Cinnamon is also in x2go list to choose.
Cinnamon support is also in latest changelog, so I suppose there must be a way.
Btw I have also Mate and it did exactly the same, however I enabled desktop sharing from cinnamon, so that might be the reason.
I come from xrdp madness, so I know a bit the issue with cinnamon and not mate.

You can't use a compositing desktop with X2Go, if you put Mate on there
(on Mint) it will work (that's what I am using to get to my Mint server).

Subject: [X2Go-User] x2go Client not connecting. Where to get more info?
Hi,
I am trying to connect a Windows 7 machine to a Mint/Cinnamon server with
desktop sharing enabled.
I see the ssh connection apparently successful from auth.log:
Nov 11 17:57:42 myPC sshd[31369]: Accepted keyboard-interactive/pam for
myUser from 10.0.0.5 port 49481 ssh2
Nov 11 17:57:42 myPC sshd[31369]: pam_unix(sshd:session): session opened
for user sms1\dcostantini by (uid=0)
If I try a wrong password it fails, so up to SSH all seems ok.
But the client shows nothing, it is greyed out (but seems not frozen) and I
can only close the window.
Is there some log on the client? Maybe I can find the blocker there and
report for more help.
I read that Cinnamon was an issue but it should be working now, right?
Thanks,
Diego
