If you're using a Linux client to connect, I suggest waiting for the 4.0.1.3 release (or alternatively pulling the nightly beta from the heuler repository), see: http://bugs.x2go.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=384
Might save you some headscratching as to why you don't hear a thing ;-)
