Heyy Jason,
no, that is no addition to the component of x2go, but rather an add-on if you will. I've just extended what the client is capable of doing in changing some scripts up and using the x2goserver itselft to be the one that hosts the applications, that then connect to another, the target PC.
Imagine a scenario like this: use the x2goclient to connect to the x2goserver, but instead of starting your favorite window manager, only start the one with the smallest footprint you can find: awesome for example. In that you start a program like xfreerdp to connect to another PC that's running a RDP Server and that is your whole mechanism ;)
Hope this helps thinking!
Greetings, Kjellski

Works like a charm, with a bit of conceptual upfront work. The key is to

Hello,
I¹m looking for info on x2go server for windows. Is there a package available for XP/7/8/Server?
I was in a NetApp class last week. We did our labs in a VM environment and used x2go to access RedHat and Windows 2012 VM, which worked nicely. I would like to try to implement x2go in my environment.
I support a Virtual Computer Lab (VCL) at GMU and x2go looks very interesting as access method. Currently we use RDP protocol to access VMs - Windows and Linux (xRDP). There is no X2Go Server for Windows. What the people at your training site probably used was: (a) X2Go Client has native RDP support (b) X2Go can proxy RDP through an X2Go Server Greets, Mike

Hello Kjell
I am also interested in this, for accessing both Linux and Windows servers. Is the proxy an additional component installed on a Linux box to use as a gateway through to Windows/RDP?
Thanks Jason
