Hi Dears, I've encountered an issue while installing X2GO Client , whenever i use the apt-get install x2goclient i see many unresolved dependencies including
- libc6
- libcups2
- libgcc1
- libldap-2.4-2
- libqt4-network
- libqt4-svg
- libqtcore4
- libqtgui4
- libssh-4 (>= 0.4.7)
- libstdc++6
- libx11-6
so how to install the dependencies to resolve this issue ?! Thanks in advance
these packages come with most recent Debian (derivative) distro
versions. If you have successfully built X2Go Client, those libraries
should be installed on the build system.
Not sure what the problem is you encounter here. I remember you saying
something about a portable installation of X2Go Client on Linux for
OpenThinClient. Maybe a package install is not the way to go for your
use case?
Basically, you could copy together all required files from an
installed Debian system and place them into one folder and launch X2Go
Client from there. But this will make it hard to maintain.
Another option surely is to build X2Go Client statically and
compile-in all required libs.
IMHO, X2Go Client should be packagable for OpenThinClient as any other
Linux application that is available on OpenThinClient (esp. like any
other Qt application). Maybe there are other Qt applications already
provided on OpenThinClient that you could look at concerning the build
workflow.
