Mike,

Thanks for the info!

On a side note and fyi, I used (on win8.1) the pyhoca-gui and this speeded things up, no more delays.

So I instructed this specific user to use the pyhoca client instead.

Hi all,

On some computers I login with a user and in the syslog I get:

Jan 15 16:06:57 lin-cad-dev-ubuntu /usr/bin/x2gomountdirs[11380]: WARNING:
mounting of /cygdrive/C/Users/xxxx/X2GO~1/S-1A99~1/spool failed

As a result, not only is the session slower with logging in but also the
logout can take 20-30 seconds.

In the file:
/tmp/.x2go-xxxx/C-xxxx-51-1421334287_stDMATE_dp32/sshfs-mounts.log (END)
I see:
read: Connection reset by peer

At first I was thinking the mount is not working but it does mount, after 2
minutes:
Jan 15 16:14:25 lin-cad-dev-ubuntu /usr/bin/x2gomountdirs[14553]: WARNING:
mounting of /cygdrive/C/Users/Geert/X2GO~1/S-102D~1/spool failed

Logging in on a different computer with the same user = no problem. (both
x2go clients are v4.0.3.1 on windows 8.1)

Is this anything I can (easily) resolve?

Regards,
Kristof.

the reason for this delay is a failing sshfs operation in x2gomountdirs. I discovered that, as well, a week back or so [1].

I introduced and enforced timeout on sshfs mounting of 30s (maybe this should be even shorter?).

This issue will be solved/worked-around in x2goserver 4.0.1.19.

Mike
