+1 for the ability to use Alt-Tab in "Windowed" mode. I tried running a custom 'vcxsrv' instance using the "-keyhook" argument. However, it appears that vcxsrv ignores keyook in 'multiwindow' mode. I experimented with rootless mode, but it had some other issues (similar to steve's).
Is it possible to patch 'vcxsrv' to support 'keyhook' and 'multiwindow' simultaneously?
I'm maintaining a fork of vcxsrv called vcxsrv-xp. It is what X2Go Client for Windows uses. https://sourceforge.net/u/mikedep333/vcxsrv/ci/xp-fixesonly/tree/
Patches Welcome (TM)
Also, please report this to our bug tracker if it is not already reported: http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/wiki:bugs?s[]=bugs
Even if the fix will only apply to the vcxsrv-xp source code, we should still track it in our bug tracker.

So, how can I

thanks again in advance
I have no experience at all with this kind of setup. But what happens if you select "Fullscreen" in the settings tab from the start? Or select "Use whole display" and select the appropriate display?
