My client periodically tells me no response from the remote server and disconnects. I simultaneously have the same workstation with x2go clients connected to other servers, including other Ubuntu 15.04 servers, at the same location and they do not randomly disconnect.
The server is not heavily loaded, the responsivenes is good.
When it disconnects, are you able to resume the session, or is it terminated and you have to start a new one?
I am able to resume the session.Is that server in a different network segment than the others?
It's on the same network segment as the others.Can you rule out routing/network issues between client and server? (Simple test: run a continuous ping, look for package loss when one of those undesired disconnects happens.)
Here are ping stats between the client and the server from the clientside:

As you can see 0% packet loss, and the highest latency was 24.007ms,average latency 10ms.
