Well, if this is the only showstopper the admin can still disable that in the DE configuration.
A plain, classic-NX X2Go session on the same server works just fine.
$SOMETHING inside the DE is trying to tell local and remote sessions apart (which is a good thing), and KDrive is confusing this detection mechanism due to how it works, so you get all those weird effects (which is a bad thing).
I guess this also happens with Xephyr then but not with Xnest.
