Adding the X2Go users to the loop...

Hey Mike,

I'm writing to you because we are experiencing an issue with X2Go. When we start a supported application by our company via X2Go, after the second window click all the windows get minimized and we should click the window's icon on the tray to put it into normal size again.

The environment...

Operating System: CentOS 8
X2Go Client: Latest available on Windows

We have created a recording about the issue, you may find below by clicking on the URL...

The issue happens at 1:17, 1:25 and 1:35 as well. We were also representing how it should work correctly in the recording from 1:54 where we have started the same application via Xming. As you can see at 2:39, the COMSEARCH iQ.link Query Link/Lip window remains on the top and we did not have to catch this up from the tray.

This issue exists since we have upgraded the qtlib and qtplugins folders of our application for v5.15.2. Could you please let me know if you have ever experienced or reported a similar issue and how can we troubleshoot?

Many thanks in advance,
Mike

I have been on VAC for the past two weeks and don't check emails while
on holidays, normally. Sorry, that you had to wait for my reply.

Patching a Debian src:pkg is easy.

Drop a patch that applies to the upstream code into debian/patches and
add the patch file's name to debian/patches/series.

You can use quilt for managing patches:
https://wiki.debian.org/UsingQuilt

Building the Windows X2Go Client against Qt5 is on the X2Go team's todo list.

Mike
