Bear,
If you're trying to use X2GoServer on Windows Subsystem for Linux, and intend to use is as some kind of RDP replacement for your Windows Desktop, my guess is that it is bound to fail. There is no way to display Windows applications or the Windows Desktop natively via X2Go, as they don't output to an X Server, but to Windows' GDI. You'll only be able to display Linux applications/a Linux Desktop running within WSL.
To further debug your issues: Run the native Windows X2GoClient.exe in portable mode - that way it will create a "sessions" file rather than saving its settings to the Registry. Post the content of that file to the list.
As root inside WSL, run:
netstat -ant
as well as
netstat -tulpen
and also post the output of these commands to the list.
Kind Regards, Stefan Baur

Ok, I'm very confused.. I've installed just about every x2go item in apt search and still no go. I'm running wsl, fully updated and upgraded. I've tried numerous docs and steps to get it to work and it always says it can't timeout connecting to 192.168.1.137:8888 Can someone PLEASE help me figure this out. if I try the browser plugin it says "invalid plugin" here's the main thing I've been following, as you can see session.conf is not in /etc like he said it would be. Exactly what are you trying to achieve? It's hard to tell from your description.
