If you're using a Linux client to connect, I suggest waiting for the 4.0.1.3 release (or alternatively pulling the nightly beta from the heuler repository), see: http://bugs.x2go.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=384
I have:
x2goserver-4.0.1.10-1.fc20.x86_64 x2goagent-3.5.0.21-5.fc20.x86_64
Irrelevant for the issue at hand.
What version of X2Go*client* are you using? 4.0.1.2 on Linux has a known "no sound" issue, as stated in the bug report above.
Using kde, looking at KDE control module/audio and video settings
All I see is HDA Intel PCH Default
neither of which will work if I click 'Test'
With 4.0.1.2, that's expected, because not a single sound system will work there. With 4.0.1.3 (nightly beta) or any stable release *older* than 4.0.1.2, your chances are better.
