Create a keymap definition file using |xmodmap| on your local machine (the client machine), *XQuartz might be necessary for having this command available. It's also necessary to use |x2go| by the way. *|xmodmap -pke > osx-keymap|
However, xmodmap is a binary file. How could I create one or modify one??
I'm anything but a Mac expert, so maybe I'm completely off here ... but the text you quoted says you should *create* a keymap definition file *using* xmodmap. So, *run the command xmodmap* to *create the keymap definition file*. The last line you quoted even lists the exact command, I would say, so you should end up with a file "osx-keymap" *generated by* the xmodmap command.
