Mike, I appreciate your response. I found out about the x2go session broker after I sent my previous email and was wondering if that was the piece I was missing. The only information I could find on it was this page http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/doc:installation:x2gobroker and it only seems to have install instructions for Debian based linux distro's. We are on RH/CentOS and I searched for the x2go session broker package's with no luck. Does anyone know if there is plan's for a RH/CentOS release?

All, My employer is thinking about using x2go as our thin client solution. I am trying to get the postgres backend setup. I have the database up and have added some user's however I am not able to migrate my session between 2 node's. Is this what the postgres backend is for or am I misunderstanding it's use?

The PostgeSQL backend is not for migrating sessions between nodes. This rather sounds like a VM use case (KVM via Ganeti or with similar tools).
However, you may want to try load balancing. For this, you additionally need the X2Go Session Broker [1].
