Issues with resuming session

Trying to move from NoMachine as new server is virtual and I'm having some issues with some programmes not resuming with correct colours. Client : 4.0.5.2 (Qt 4.8.6) Windows 7 32 bit Server info - OpenSuse 13.2 KDE 4 On intial startup it works fine. It would be good if it would, like NoMachine, always use the 4:3 moitor if attached whether 1st or 2nd display device. But I set it to use display 2 for testing. Session starts full screen as expected and I can background the screen and bring back to front. On resume : If I use the internal X server a window open then crashes. If I use the latest build of vcsvr it will start up but in a small window and this doesn't resize or rather the window resizes but the display doesn't. I move to larger monitor and the display only takes up half height. More than emacs crashes now

Adding old style fonts to X server?

I use x2go frequently between my fedora linux system at work and my near identical fedora linux system at home. When using X directly on both systems I get a font path like: Font Path: catalogue:/etc/X11/fontpath.d,built-ins And the /etc/X11/fontpath.d directory has lots of symlinks to various font directories (with most of the same fonts installed on both systems). When using x2go, I see the font path is much stupider. Including explicit paths to just the misc, 100dpi, and 75dpi font directories. What the heck is the bast way to fix this so old X programs will see all the same fonts I get when I run native? Can I do something like edit /etc/x2go/x2goagent.options and add -fp catalogue:/etc/X11/fontpath.d,built-ins as an option? (On both source and target systems).

Clipboard and virt-viewer?

On my native fedora box, if I'm looking at a virtual machine display in virt-viewer, I can use cut&paste to do something like copy the current URL from a web browser running on the host machine, and paste it into a web browser running inside in virtual machine in the virt-viewer display. If I'm connected to the same fedora box remotely via x2go, and I then display a virtual machine inside that remote x2go session, the cut&paste from fedora to virt-viewer doesn't work. Any idea what is going on here and how to make it work?

terminating suspended sessions

After some time unclosed sessions fill all the memory on the server. It is hard to discipline users to always close sessions -they just close the client instead. Segfault on some applications

I just upgraded Ubuntu from 14 to 16.04, and I really regret it now. Many things now don't work within X2go. I've completely lost KDE, which I see is a known issue, but for some reason now Firefox and many other applications don't work. I even tried gnome-calculator and it doesn't work now, but LibreOffice does. I'm not sure if it's because of the graphical toolset used or not. The most important app not working for us is Eclipse. Blowing Up

For some reason x2go seems to be blowing up randomly a lot today. Upcoming Deprecation of EOL Distributions

USB webcam does not work

Hi! From my webcam (Microsoft lifecam 3000 HD) works under x2go TCE only the microphone, but no picture. I can also not check anything and come no further, since the webcam is not shown with lsusb in shell. (By the way, other USB devices are full not recognized, as my external hdd and a BlueRay drive. Via USB, only the microphone of the webcam and USB sticks works so far.) How do I get the webcam to run? Bye, Olaf

Now, I do have a recent use-case where I'd like to play-back video over x2go, and I came across the mTelePlayer project; I saw that there are Ubuntu packages in a PPA, but I am not totally sure how to set it up - when I just start mTelePlayer on my remote x2go desktop, it just gives me this message: "No Telekinesis local socket available at: <someDir> Is Telekinesis even running?" Now, I am not sure where I have to run what; on my x2go server, I installed mteleplayer, and then also both telekinesis-client and -server. I then further installed both telekinesis also on the machine I use as a client, and opened a new x2go session - still the same message. I searched around, but couldn't find any Howto/readme. Could you help me out with some short instructions? Thanks, Rudolf

Quick Launcher

I'm trying to add a quick launcher for someone on his desktop, a Windows system. Any pointers as to how to do this? When I try to add a launcher, it launches X2go and then he has to click further. I want a launcher that just logs him straight in. I've set up certificate based login.

Desktop does not resize

I'm having the exact same problem: http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/233163/how-to-fix-x2go-desktop-that… Except that I erased the .kde config, to start fresh and it did not improve the situation. I also specified 800 x 600 as window size, but x2go resizes the window without me asking to do so to full display size and it is still not enough to display everything, the task bar for example (kde) is off screen. I upgraded a machine to mint, did all the same thing as I've done on the Ubuntu systems but when I try to install x2goagent, it complains about the version of "nxagent". I tried upgrading nxagent, no help. Is there a nightly builds repository for Mint 18? Trying to figure out how to get things installed, it seems I've somehow managed to break perl with the upgrade from Mint 17 to 18. Hi, I just upgraded a server to Debian 8 and had X2goserver running on it before, but purged all the config and everything, because some things were not working properly, now I can't install it anymore, it refuses with these errors: # apt-get install x2goserver Reading package lists... I'm running into the same xrandr version issues with Mint 18 as I did with Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS and Fedora 24. x2go windows client fails to resume session

Server: EL7 - x2go 4.0.1.19-6.el7 Client: Windows 7, 4.0.5.2-2016.09.20 We're seeing times when the x2goclient cannot resume a session. Window opens briefly before closing. Too fast to see anything. Application log shows errors from sshd but no real information associated with them.
