Thanks! The client OS is in fact Windows, and I think they only have single user (like home edition or whats it called). We have tried connecting via putty and straight SSH works. We have tried giving x2go client a standalone VcxSrv but didn¹nt help. After having connected by this user through x2go I found out that everything works quickly. I decided to double-check it. And again changed style and icons for default (Adapta) I very much was surprised, but everything continued to work quickly and well. I several times perezagrugit the x2go server every time being connected to it by the same user again and everything works quickly with windows and linux of clients. After I was connected from the thin client of TCE by the same user and all very slowly. Now I have such stable results with the user of "test" (Settings of clients identical): Windows client = quickly Linux client = quickly Thin client of TCE = very slowly Connection by any users not of "test" (Tried to change styles and icons): Windows client = very slowly Linux client = very slowly Thin client of TCE = very slowly I could not repeat magic which turned out with the user of "test" with other users. I cannot understand dependence in what prevents the x2go server to work quickly. But I was convinced that x2go the server can quickly work with linux Lite 4.2 Maybe somebody will prompt what in my case prevents x2go to work quickly? local X server fails to accept the connection?

HI All, A user of our system recently come with the following errors while trying to use X2go client on Windows 10. === Info: Forwarding X11 connections to display 'localhost:0'. Session: Session started at 'Thu Feb 14 12:51:37 2019'. Warning: Protocol mismatch or no X authentication data. Session: Terminating session at 'Thu Feb 14 12:51:41 2019'. Info: Your session was closed before reaching a usable state. Info: This can be due to the local X server refusing access to the client. Info: Please check authorization provided by the remote X application. Session: Session terminated at 'Thu Feb 14 12:51:41 2019'. === We are running X2go servers on CentOS 6 Linux; other clients (MacOS, other users with Windows 7 and 10) seem to connect fine. So the problem likely is with the client. I believe the Windows x2go client comes with an X11 server bundled with it and configured. Could anyone suggest what could be the reason for such errors, have anyone encountered them before? Any advice much appreciated! Low speed of x2go server

Hello! I configured x2go server on linux lite 3.8 (package base ubuntu 16.04 x64 xfce) clients on windiws, linux and the thin clients loaded with tce. Work speed very good. But I need to pass to linux lite 4 (package base ubuntu 18.04 x64 xfce) When I set Linux lite 4 and x2go server at connection to it from any client work speed very much and very low. It is impossible to work normally!: ( I use identical methods of a compression both in new and in the old version of the server. Hi ! i use various installation server/client, only linux, in various situation of server and client, ubuntu, centos, and DE. Now, i need to connect some desktop to one server. I have configured one session on one client, then using command : x2goclient --sessionid=<mysession-id> This one command go perfectly, but need to write password, then i need parameter or method to set user password without prompt, and need also, parameter to set fullscreen. Hello. If I am connected with linux x2go client to the server to me the full screen, but with an opportunity to minimize or maximize it with the help by a mouse is necessary. I know about hot buttons, but it not that it is necessary for my users. X2goServer successfully connects to server, but no window is shown

Hi there, In attempt to install x2go client on my Debian LXDE, I’ve noticed the installation is incomplete. Shortcuts and and libraries weren’t installed. and when I tried to start the application it doesn’t come up. X2Go console doesn’t appear in the screen. Help need with Linux-Linux Kerberos Authentication

Hello there. We're trying to use X2Go in our campus as a user friendly Linux-Linux remote desktop solution. We would also like a SingleSingOn approach, so we chose to use kerberos authentication between the Linux clients and the X2Go server. We already have a working KDC that authenticates a SSH server, as a test. On the client I have the Kerberos 5 Auth. option checked, but when I attempt the connection, the screen remains blank and never connects. I checked at myself at the test stand as removal of usb drive works After disconnection of usb disk from the thin client Console of the thin client: ls /media/ Data_Treveler After remove usb drive the directory for mount automatically was not removed... We go on the server. We see the link "Data_Treveler" on a desktop and in / home/user/media/rm/Data_Treveler We return to the console of the thin client rm -rf /media/Data_Treveler Now on the thin client there is no Data_Treveler directory On the server in / home/user/media/rm/is empty as well as should be. But the link "Data_Treveler" on a desktop remained. Why I show consideration for it? If during one session the user used many different usb disks, then it will have many not working links on a desktop (garbage) and in / home/media/. The description of a problem in my native language is lower При подключении usb диска к тонкому клиенту на нем создается каталог для ее монтирования (например /media/Kingston) Эта же директория пробрасывается на сервер x2go и там доступна. При отключении usb диска каталог монтирования /media/Kingston не удаляется автоматически на тонком клиенте и соответственно он виден на сервере, но пустой. Это вводит в заблуждение пользователей. Я думаю что при отключении usb диска на тонком клиенте должен удаляться каталог монтирования (в нашем случае /media/Kingston), а на сервере удаляться ссылки на флешку с рабочего стола и каталога пользователя -- С Уважением Строганов Роман

I installed x2goserver on salix. It complained about a couple of missing perl modules when I tried to login, I installed them, after that it just hangs when I try to login, never times out, never starts up. I will share the observations: I have 2 identical usb drive. One ntfs, other fat32. On both I create a directory "Новая папка" (new folder) and "новый файл.txt" (new file.txt) We connect both and we watch contents after mount in the console of the thin client: ls /media/ntfs_drive/ Новая Папка новый файл.txt System Volume Information ls /media/fat32_drive/ :041d:043e:0432:0430:044f :043f:0430:043f:043a:0430 :043d:043e:0432:044b:0439 :0444:0430:0439:043b.txt System Volume Information Later we go on the server. We open on the ntfs_drive server and we see normal Russian names of the file and a directory. It is possible to create new objects with the Russian names without problems. Checked even the Ukrainian alphabet. Everything is OK! We open on the fat32_drive server. There is a directory": 041d: 043e: 0432:0430:044f: 043f: 0430:043f: 043a: 0430" and file": 043d: 043e: 0432:044b: 0439: 0444:0430:0439:043b.txt". It is impossible to create directories/files in Russian sshfs transfers such names of files/directories with what them defined when mount... I apologize. The problem was with my server. With forwarding usb drive I understood. When I used ltsp I tried to accelerate ssh. On the ssh_config server there was a record ciphers arcfour. Therefore could not set connection with the client on sshfs Now directories and usb drive are visible on the server, but with the Russian names of directories or files a problem is created. usb flash forwarded on the server from the thin client: directories and files with the Russian names are displayed approximately so": 041d: lfjh:..... tt". New directories / files with the Russian names are not created. Forwarding directory /home/user/Документы from simple linux (not the thin client) forwards empty directories. If I forward a directory in Latin, it forwards it, but everything is farther as with the thin client. You are right! On the x2go server there are no forwarded disks/directories from clients. The thin client tried from clients of Linux, win. In a directory of the user there is a link to directory/media, in 3 subdirectories of CD, disk, rm. All of them are empty. Earlier everything worked on this server as 100% I shared disks from Linux/win of clients with x2go the server. I decided to check is on the x2goserver-fmbindings server The packet of x2goserver-fmbindings of the newest version is already set (4.1.0.3-0 ~ 1708 ~ ubuntu16.04.1). The following packets were established automatically and any more are not required: linux-headers-4.4.0-112 linux-headers-4.4.0-112-generic linux-image-4.4.0-112-generic linux-image-extra-4.4.0-112-generic For their removal use "sudo apt autoremove". It what depends on the version of a kernel? At me now 4.4.0.142. Maybe updating what that broke? I have a backup copy. I can try to recover it (I do not know what a kernel there) If earns - any more never to update a kernel? -- С Уважением Строганов Роман

I repeated build image for the thin client. Now from the console of the thin client of md5sum/usr/lib/x2go/tce/x2gousbmount gives correctly 4ce1acefdfa39bef3755d55a6a22b673 Usb drive is mounted in / media/Data_Treveler/sda1 and I see its contents there, but how to me now to see it on the server? I tried x2go-tce-sessions to add export=/media/, but it leads to crash of a session of the thin client -- С Уважением Строганов Роман
