Expedite Windows x2go client close on loss of connection?

I frequently encounter connection interruptions. Each such interruption results in the x2go client freezing for about a minute before the notification window pops up to ask if I want to terminate the session or not. Upon confirming, it then takes another minute before the x2go window closes. Is there any way grab the x2go client by the scruff of the neck and make it go away the moment I notice it isn't responding to keypresses?

desktop sharing: would like to share (groups of) windows

I'm a new user and trying to share a session on different machines/displays. So, on the server I start a session, say DISPLAY=:50 from a client with a regular 1960x1280 screen. When I move to another machine/display, for instance using a 4K screen, I can share the desktop. I'm getting a 1960x1280 desktop with the windows on :50. That's not really what I want. Instead, I would like to get all :50 windows -without- having a special window for the desktop. Ideally I would like to move the windows :50 independently of the original session. Since, on the 4K screen, I prefer a different placement of windows. Ideally I would like to share a group of windows belonging to one part of the process-tree. Essentially this means that window positions should become client specific. Is something like this possible at all? Please note I'm not subscribed on this mailing list, I will watch the mail-archive now and then. P.S. desktop sharing leaves echoes of a moved window in the desktop, this is a bug I guess

Black screen with Fedora 34 KDE

I've created an LXD container with Fedora 34 and KDE. When I connect using x2go, I initially see a login screen (SDDM, I believe). After I log in, all I see is a black screen. No menu bars, no cursor. There's nothing interesting in the system log, but a .xsession-errors file was generated. x2go error after updating from Ubuntu 16.04 to 20.04

Dear everybody, yesterday I updated a server which is used by my team using x2go. The Linux update (Ubuntu 16.04 to 20.04) went well and everything is up and running. x2go works fine too but opening e.g., graphic user interface programs such as blender, paraview, or salome/freecad. The error for e.g., paraview, is: qt.qpa.xcb: X server does not support XInput 2. And a lot of other error messages. However, locally everything works quite well and hence, it should be related to x2go. Probably a lot of info is missing to get into the problem. In any case, I will provide any information one needs. I thought, "you are pretty sure" wrong and re-testet it immidiately - it is the same for xterm, like I remembered from older tests (to avoid issues with mate-/xfce-/konsole terms). If the desktop environment kicks it AFTER the x2go setting will be gone. You can check by running setxkbmap -query both INSIDE the session and locally. And you can fix it (temporarily) by running INSIDE the session "setxkbmap -model ... - layout ... -rules ... -variant ... -option ..." based on the values from your local setxkbmap. (leave out parameters your setxkbmap -query does not print). You can also run an test session where you just specify xterm as your "desktop environment". I am pretty sure the keyboard will be correct then. Can you confirm? Big problem with keyboard/layout

Hello! I hope, I can find some help here. I started once setting up x2goserver in a LXC container on a remote host and this, in some way, worked so far (except for using webbrowsers, which have only horrible performance and no sound) and even consoles have the right layout. Then I could not find an ytime to continue. Now, I setup x2goserver on thre computers, means, direcly like usually on the hardware (x2go: 4.1.0.3-4). All my boxes running debian10, kernel 5.10 running xfce, english setup, using a german keyboard layout. Shockingly, the keyboards are all wrong and unusable, there is, most prominent, no pipe character (and others are missed too, like the navigations keys, <alt-gr>, <del> but umlauts are correkt!). If you press <alt-gr> a beep ist issued. This happens to x-consoles as gui progs! XRDP, on the other hand, worked as before. I was unable to find documentation, which points out how this all works, how keyboard/maps are done by default on client and server, how this is initialized or how this could be changed and on which side (or a full shortcut reference). I tried to modify the settings on the client-gui (4.1.2.2 ) session configuration, but no variant (like "de-de") has influence at all. Thanks any way, Manfred
