x2go disconnects on paste (openSUSE Tumbleweed)

Dear all, Today I updated from openSUSE Tumbleweed 20200708 to 20200724, and now whenever I try to paste the clipboard contents into a single application launched remotely via x2go, the x2go session disconnects and terminates. Does anyone else here have the same problem, or know what the culprit might be? Regards, Tristan

screen sharing and One to One Desktop Access.

Hi Team, I have two doubts , please 1- Is screen sharing possible in x2go session,Suppose I have accessed a Desktop through Broker , and want to share screen to other X2go broker user, 2- one to one Desktop Access ? If multiple session are added in brokers profile list, it shows to every user who log in broker server with ssh user. Regards Jyoti Kumar

X2Go load balancing

Hello, I have three questions regarding X2Go load balancing and the X2Go Broker needed for that. The first question is, if it can be avoided that user login data has to be entered twice, once for the broker and once for the X2Go server. Is it possible to configure x2gobroker-daemon so that it forwards the login data it got before to the X2Go server? The second question is if it is somehow possible that with load balancing it is possible that every user can set his or her own connection parameters, like with x2goclient in non-broker mode, with the remote host as only exception. As for example display sizes and internet connection speeds differ between users, it is quite difficult to create so many profiles on the broker machine so that all user wishes are met. The third question is if a kind of load balancing can be achieved that takes into account a) that possibly not all destination hosts have the same hardware power, for example one host may only have 8 CPU cores and 16GB Memory, while another has 64 CPU cores and 256 GB Memory. b) that the real load of a host is not only decided by the number of logged-in users, but also by what the users are doing. Massive number of logfile entries

Hi, Newcomer to X2go, set it up on my workstation in the office so I can work remotely. While it's functioning beautifully, I'm noticing a massive number of entries appearing in my system logs, both the secure and messages files. I'm talking several entries per second. Secure is full of constant pam_unix "session closed" and "session open" messages for active X2go connections. Messages is full of system session start information again for active connections. X2go entries in the logs are relatively few and make sense. Why so many entries, and how do I turn them off? Cheers, Craig.

x2go Broker GUI selection issue [command = ]

I am having GUI selection issue, when I select command =GNOME/KDE or Unity under in configuration of Broker server in /etc/x2go/broker/x2gobroker-sessionprofiles.conf . it is now working. Only a Blackscreen come . While without session broker I select "Connection to local Desktop " it works. Setting up passwordless session

Using windows client 4.1.2.0, I'm wanting to set up passwordless authentication. I've followed these instructions.... https://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/wiki:advanced:authentication:passwordless-ssh ...but am still receiving a small modal dialog box prompting for an account password."Enter user account password:" In the settings for the session, "Use RSA/DSA key for ssh connection:" points to my local private key file and "Try auto login (via SSH Agent or default SSH key)" is checked Question: Is 'auto login' required for passwordless login? Question: Does the term 'default SSH key' reference the id_rsa key created by the ssh-keygen.exe or something else? Question: Does passwordless login require the use of Pageant or other tools, or can it be accomplished solely with x2go settings? thx.

How to scale remote apps on laptop 4k hidpi displays?

Hi I'm running a 3840x2400 laptop display in 200% scaled mode, on gnome-shell-3.36. x2goclient-4.1.2.2 UI can be fixed up with QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR=1. But remote apps still launch in native resolution, making everything tiny small. This happens for both Wayland and Xorg-based Gnome session. Is there a solution to getting the remote x2go session match the current scale of local display? Mailing list searches for "hidpi" etc failed to find anything useful. -- Leho Kraav, senior technology & digital marketing architect

Connection failed session ... terminated

I'm running the Windows client v4.1.2.2. Server is CentOS 8. I connect and double-click on the row here: [image: image.png] Then I get this: [image: image.png] This problem happens frequently on all my servers. I can click "New" and open a session but I can never successfully reconnect to that other listed session. I think deleting something from /tmp fixed this in the past. Sound right? Why does this always happen?

Hi, I am able to connect from windows x2go client to the broker server (installed in Ubunt 20.04), And I have created a session profile in /etc/x2go/broker/x2gobroker-sessionprofiles.conf file [test-192.168.0.27] user= name=test-192.168.0.27 host=192.168.0.27 command=KDE usebrokerpass=true fullscreen = true broker-session-autologin=true But when I select "test-192.168.0.27" session, it gives Authentication error of Access denied. Configure x2go-client to not forward specific key combinations?

Hi folks, I'm interested in using x2go to: * connect into several individual accounts/machines at the same time * use each remote machine desktop in full screen mode * switch between remote full screen desktops using a specific key combination, which would therefore not be sent to the remote Is this possible? In my initial perusal of man pages and testing I don't see a way to do what seems to me to be the (probably wrong) solution- instruct the x2go-client (in either launch remote desktop mode, or desktop screen sharing mode) to not capture a specific key combination (like control-alt-right arrow and control-alt-left arrow) so that the parent desktop can handle them (e.g. switch between parent-side virtual desktops). I'm using Fedora / XFCE for all systems. Thanks very much in advance! Jonah
