x2gothinclient_create seems to fail

Hello everybody! I don't know if this is the right place or the right way for asking for help, thank you for pointing me in the good direction if not. What is the hash algorithm / format used for the host key hash during connection instantiation?

Hi, I'm using x2go to connect from a Linux Mint (19) machine to an Ubuntu server using a RSA key over SSH. During the connection instantiation x2go presents me the following question: Der Server ist unbekannt. Vertrauen Sie diesem Host-Key? Hash des öffentlichen Schlüssels: remote.server.com:22 - d7:2e:e0:ae:27:7a:e5:33:59:6d:00:12:75:22:0a:c6:9a:10:31:a9 I. e. "The server is unkown. Do you trust this host key?" I now have problems to match the presented fingerprint hash to the host identity keys that are present on the server machine under /etc/ssh/ssh_host_*key*. When I later inspect the .ssh/known_hosts file on my Linux Mint machine (client side) I can match the public key there to the public host identity key on the server side that has the following fingerprints (displayed with 'ssh-keygen -l -E {md5|sha256} -f ssh_host_ecdsa_key'): ssh_host_ecdsa_key.pub: 256 SHA256:3vf9PbLKhlaFpff7SxpaDLyrfYJF8iJ+Px3bMzLNY2U root(a)internal.server.com (ECDSA) 256 MD5:7b:9a:76:4b:58:ce:87:bf:3f:56:41:a9:7c:f8:bf:e9 root(a)internal.server.com (ECDSA) Neither of these fingerprints can be matched to the fingerprint / hash that x2go presents to me. The MD5 hash line is similar but shorter (only 16 hash bytes aka. 128 bits that matches a MD5 sum length). The x2go hash has 20 bytes (160 bits) hash length. The question is how can I reliably match the fingerprint x2go presents to me to the right host ID hash. Am I comparing / expecting the wrong keys? Can somebody please shed some light on this issue. Help with Login

After a Windows update about a month ago, my X2Go stopped working. I can log in, but I get this error message" Loop: PANIC! Can't open options file '/cygdrive/C/Users/Andy'. Terminating session when connection drops takes a long time

As previously mentioned I have a flakey internet connection and must frequently reestablish my x2go connection but this is compounded by a problem: When the connection is momentarily interrupted getting reconnected takes a while because of strange behavior in trying to close out and reopen the x2go session: Click the x to close the window and I'm asked "No response received from the remote server. Do you want to terminate the current session?" which is not strange at all but when I click "yes" it doesn't do so immediately, but can take quite a while. Other windows pop up with additional questions depending on what I do to overcome the delay. The closest thing I've discovered to this is an issue from 8 years ago: https://x2go-user.x2go.narkive.com/4jvHBucc/session-resuming-after-disconne… Is there a configuration parameter or something I can set nowadays?

Clicking on other than window border doesn't bring it to the front

I'm wondering if I'm having trouble with x2go or with X11 or my kinesthetic memory, but for the last few days, my reflexes to bring a terminal window to the front by clicking on other than its border is being defied. I have to click on the border to get it to come to the front. Disconnecting and reconnecting (even with login) does not reset this condition.

mounting local folders not working

Hi! I am using the X2Go-Client with mounted home directories. Now the mount does not work from both clients (mac and ubuntu 20.10). While the connection is being established, there is no error message. What I have checked so far: remote user on server is in group „fuse“ on mac: enabled remote login for all users Any idea on how to fix this issue? Thanks! Bernhard

Hello dear all, i have install an x2go server with xfce. our home directory are on an nfs server with no root access. X2GO server side Disable suspend mode

Hello Dear x2go users list members, I have a question on a x2go server, how it's possible to disable session suspending, All my users clic on the cross at the top right to quit the session and suddenly it leaves you hanging. I would like to turn off suspend mode. Thanks in advance.

X2Go server on BSD

Hi, I am wondering if there are pointers on th way to port X2Go server to BSD Unix. From what I have been pocking around, it is highly dependant on Linux, using tools that are not really standard like ss instead of netstat for example. Poking in the scripts, I have not been able to go very far, so I am wondering if it is worth speding some more time or if it is a lost cause. So far, I have been using a Windows machine as a desktop, with the X terminal X-Win 32. UIt allows me a simple access to my various servers at the click of a button. Since I have changed for an Ubuntu desktop, accessomg the servers is way less simple and less integrated (because Gnome or any window manager that I have tried is grabbing so many key combination that I want to use for something else). But X-Win32 still works in wine and I can port all my Windows environment with little to no change. But I wanted to try a different X solution maybe, hence exploring X2Go. TIA, Olivier --
