Clipboard stops working

Hello List, I find that the clipboard stops working after a period of time. Specifically, copying from the windows desktop to the x2go window doesn't work because x2go thinks the clipboard is empty. I am copying from emacs on Windows to emacs on Linux. It doesn't matter how many times I select and copy on windows, x2go does not pass the clipboard contents to emacs on Linux. But if I disconnect from the server and reconnect, it works, using the same emacs windows. This is with x2go client 4.1.1.1 running on Win7, but it also happened on previous x2go client versions (4.0.x) . x2go server 4.0.1.20 is running on Ubuntu 16.04 Is this a known bug? Any way to fix it? Norm Green

Connection timeout over high latency network links

I'm trying to run a remote X-session on a satellite link. The ping latency is typically 800ms. I have no trouble ssh'ing to the remote machine, but, whenever I try to connect a remote session via the x2goclient, it ends within a couple seconds with a dialog box saying: Timeout connecting to raven raven is the remote hostname. Both machines are running Debian Jessie. The x2goclient is version 4.4.1.0 Is there some connection timeout parameter that I could increase to make it possible to use high latency links? Problem connecting from Mac to Linux

Hello, I've used x2go on a very similar setup in the past but I'm running into a problem on a new installation. I've installed x2goserver on a CentOS 7.5 machine. I'm trying to connect from a Mac running 10.13. I can ssh password free between the machines with no issues. When I try to connect I get this in my client window: Error: Failed to resolve address of 'localhost'. Loop: PANIC! Unknown remote host 'localhost'. Error: Unknown remote host 'localhost'. Session: Session terminated at 'Tue Nov 27 08:06:01 2018'. On the server side, I see this in /var/og/messages: Nov 27 08:06:01 valkyrie /usr/bin/x2gostartagent: successfully started X2Go Agent session with ID dvicker-51-1543331158_stDMATE_dp32 We don't have the server machine in DNS yet so I'm using the IP address for now. I've made sure the IP address is in /etc/hosts of the server machine and matches the hostname. Any other ideas? Is there a way to disable the host lookup? Darby

sessions not suspending when closing window

x2goclient-4.1.2.1-1.fc29.x86_64 When hitting window close decoration, nothing happens. Using x2goclient hitting suspend button does suspend OK.

Upcoming Deprecation of EOL Distributions

Hi In order to lower resource stress when building packages, I plan to deprecate support for distributions that have reached End Of Life on December 31th 2018. This includes the following distro versions: - Fedora o 26 o 27 - OpenSuSE o 42.1 o 42.2 - SLES o 12.0 Ubuntu builds are ceased automatically after upstream deprecation (minus special exceptions). SLES 12.0 builds will be replaced by SLES 12.3 (12 SP3) builds, since SLE 12.0 has long been deprecated and newer versions include proper Qt5 support, which the initial version lacked. After deprecation, no new builds will be published and existing builds will be moved to the archive repositories to discourage users from installing unmaintained software. Mihai

suspended sessions are not restoring

My problems with suspended sessions are continuing, so I am forced to continue requesting help. Of course, I'm using -broker-url with the client, but if I do not and I create my sessions, they suspend perfectly. So whatever the issue is, it appears to be related to broker. Any help would be appreciated.

suspended sessions are not restoring

I mentioned this problem last week and went back and forth a few times but there was no resolution. Since I am being paid to implement this I have no choice but to bring it up again. My apologies. I have the broker running on a login server and my applications running on 3 x2go servers. Everything is working fine except for this one thing. I can suspend a session, and when I run x2golistsessions I am seeing the suspended sessions in the database. But when I run the same application the suspended session is not starting up, I am getting a new one. I can verify that because if I run x2golistsessions while the new session is running I see two sessions in the database. I've tried taking two of my application servers out of the picture and limiting it to 1, but I still see the same thing. I've got PostgreSQL running on my broker server, and all the application servers access it without a problem. At least I can run x2golistsessions on all three without a problem. If it matters, after running x2goversion on the application servers I'm seeing this x2goserver: 4.1.0.0 x2goserver-common: 4.1.0.0 x2goserver-extensions: 4.1.0.0 x2goserver-x2goagent: 3.5.99.16 x2goserver-xsession: 4.1.0.0 And on the broker server I see this X2goserver: 4.1.0.2 X2goserver-common: 4.1.0.2 X2goserver-extensions: 4.1.0.2 X2goserver-x2goagent: 3.5.99.16 X2goserver-xsession: 4.1.0.2 Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Broker and resuming sessions

First a little explanation of the architecture. The login server load balances sessions between 3 servers where the actual applications run. That part is working fine. The problem is when I suspend a session instead of ending it. My understanding was that if I chose the same session profile it would resume my application at the same point. That's not what I'm seeing. First, when I run x2golistsessions it does not show my currently running session. Then if I suspend the session I still don't see it listed. I've checked it on all three of the servers. Then when I run the same session it is starting a new one rather than resuming. Well, I guess it can't do anything else since my session isn't stored. Can I suspend a session in this kind of environment? The documentation seems to say I can. Is there something special I have to do in the client to get it working? Currently the only command line option I am using with the client is -broker-url=http://<hostmane>:8080/plain/inifile Should I use something else?
