Hi $LIST, According to Mike#1, who currently attends DebConf in Montreal, Debian 9 + X2Go Stable + KDE5/Plasma have been shown to work together. This is a single report so far, though. If anyone is willing and able to test and confirm this, it would be highly appreciated. Another test result we'd be interested in would be what happens if you use Arctica NX-Libs and X2Go Heuler instead of X2Go Stable. ssh-keygen.exe loads the processor every time the client starts

Hello. I'm using a x2go server on CentOS 6.9 (the latest version from EPEL, 4.0.1.20), clients use Windows XP/7 and the latest version of X2Go Client (4.1.0.0-2017.03.11). Each time the client connects, ssh-keygen.exe (C:\Program Files\x2goclient\ssh-keygen.exe) starts with the parameters "-t rsa -b 4096 -N" "-C" X2Go Client RSA user key "-f C: /Users/max/.x2go/ssh/gen/key.fl1416 ". On not very powerful computers, this causes a delay of a few seconds with each connection and irritates users. Tell me please, if it is possible to generate this key once and for all? -- M. x2goclient MacOS

X2Go for non-bash users

We have found that a user whose default shell is tcsh is affected by bash startup files when running X2Go. I assume this because x2go runs under the bash script x2goruncommand and inherits its environment. Is this correct? Is there any way around this problem? Thanks. -- Marlin

Hi ! My server run xubuntu 16.04. users can open session and work with applications. When they activate the x2godesktopsharing program, they see the icon on the systray and can activate the desktop sharing. So, then i launch the x2goclient with local desktop as profil. The session openned and i can see all x2godesktopsharing that run on the server. I select a session, ans try ton connecter with all rights. The user as a windoWs wich ask him to accept the connexion. After that, à second Windows come and want tout authentify as the admin user tout allow running applications as a different user. In auth.log, i see something like polkitd .... Any ideas ? Regards. This customer with MacOS 10.x and 4.1.1.0 of Ubuntu gets this error, he also gets it with previous versions. I have an older Mac Pro 1,1 running Mac OS 10.7.5 and I also get this error if I try to login to a ubuntu server with a normal username but if I login as root it works fine. I tried moving /etc/profile out of the way just to eliminate the bashism's issue, made no difference. Client version 4.1.1.0 and 4.1.0.0 both core dump on my machine with a invalid kernel address error. 4.0.0.1 does not but still gets this same error. I can login to the same Ubuntu server with regular user ID's using 4.1.1.0 under Linux just fine. QuestaSim major issue

Hi , I know that it as been discuss at one point in the forum but the thread ended. We are using a tool call Qestasim from mentor graphc. It use TK a GUI widget. The probleme is when using this tool in publish application all the others application seem to freeze and x2go is unusable. This seem to related to NX in some way becasue i have the same issue with openx. Also when using in desktop mode it is all fine.. We have a couple of application with lightweith application written in TK also and it seem a bit slower with those app. Any hint would be appreciate on how to debug this.. Thanks for your help. Carl

I always had problems with OSX and x2go. In my case it was on a fedora Fc20. I solved setting up English on the target machine and then providing a xmodmap keymapping. Emacs crashes on start

Hi I'm connecting from a Mac (X2Go Client v. 4.0.5.1 (Qt - 4.8.7)) to Fedora 24 with a xfce session using the x2goserver-4.0.1.19-11.fc24.x86_64 packages from the fedora repos. On starting emacs, I get the error below. This issue seems to have been around for a while in similar forms, but didn't affect me under Fedora 22. Is anyone in a position to confirm this issue on Fedora 24 and suggest a work around? I tried setting various environment variables suggested on various web pages for similar issues and in the bug report noted in the error message (and checked /etc/PROBLEMS), but nothing was effective. emacs starts fine in an xfce session at the console.
