Hi $LIST, According to Mike#1, who currently attends DebConf in Montreal, Debian 9 + X2Go Stable + KDE5/Plasma have been shown to work together. This is a single report so far, though. If anyone is willing and able to test and confirm this, it would be highly appreciated. Another test result we'd be interested in would be what happens if you use Arctica NX-Libs and X2Go Heuler instead of X2Go Stable. Emacs crashes on start

Hi I'm connecting from a Mac (X2Go Client v. 4.0.5.1 (Qt - 4.8.7)) to Fedora 24 with a xfce session using the x2goserver-4.0.1.19-11.fc24.x86_64 packages from the fedora repos. On starting emacs, I get the error below. This issue seems to have been around for a while in similar forms, but didn't affect me under Fedora 22. Is anyone in a position to confirm this issue on Fedora 24 and suggest a work around? I tried setting various environment variables suggested on various web pages for similar issues and in the bug report noted in the error message (and checked /etc/PROBLEMS), but nothing was effective. emacs starts fine in an xfce session at the console. Hi X2Go users I'm running Ubuntu 16.04.3, kernel 4.9.44-54, on an Odroid XU4. When I try to run Kstars within an x2go session I get this error: *failed to get the current screen resources* *The X11 connection broke: Unsupported extension used (code 2)* *XIO: fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ":50.0"* * after 6 requests (6 known processed) with 0 events remaining.* I can run Kstars directly on the console or remotely using ssh -X forwarding, but not under x2go. It also works fine using Xpra, or VNC. But I would prefer to use X2Go as it has much better performance than VNC, and I really would like to have the whole desktop environment, instead of just the application as I can using Xpra or ssh -X forwarding. Any ideas what I can do to make Kstars work in x2go?

Hello, I have the following problem: I have on a Windows 10 Home 32 bit the current x2go client installed. I get when I have the printer support in the client activate the following error after logging in, see appendix. This error message I also get on a 64 bit Windows 10. Do you have an idea? The x2go server runs on an Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Until now, it is only running on Windows 8.1 64Bit and on another Ubuntu client 16.04 (64 bit). Maybe you can give me a tip, where can I look for? pyhoca-gui and i3wm

Hi, I am trying to run i3 inside the remote server using pyhoca-gui, but when I use "Custom Command" to 'i3' (also tried with 'exec i3'), it gives me a blank screen of remote desktop to local machine. Can you share how did you manage to connect to remote session running i3 with local machine also running i3? Fyi, I could not get it achieved x2goclient itself, because if the local machine running x2goclient is also running i3 and the remote session, too, the key combination tend to execute only on the local machine running x2goclient, but not inside the remote instance of x2goserver, reportedly a limitation of nx-libs < 3.6 which is still in development and not available in Ubuntu 16.04 till these lines are written. How to purge zombie sessions after a user is deleted

I am not sure if this is a bug, but it looks like x2gocleansessions keeps trying to open some previously saved session created by a deleted user. This leaves a log like the following in the /var/log/auth.log and this log continues to add in an infinite loop Aug 22 18:17:32 taote su[6146]: - ??? root:trainer7 Aug 22 18:17:32 taote su[6147]: No passwd entry for user 'trainer7' Aug 22 18:17:32 taote su[6147]: FAILED su for trainer7 by root if I kill the x2gocleansessions process, the log stops. if I run sudo /usr/sbin/x2golistsessions_root I can see the two zombie sessions 20580|trainer1-51-1502204631_stDXFCE_dp32|51|taote|S|2017-08-08T11:03:51|...|10.15.159.9|33463|33464|2017-08-08T17:56:15|trainer1|1236642|33465| 10905|trainer7-52-1502214187_stDXFCE_dp32|52|taote|S|2017-08-08T13:43:07|...|10.15.138.221|61994|61995|2017-08-08T13:59:17|trainer7|1227086|61996| but could not find a way to purge then. Those two user accounts (trainer1 and trainer7) were created for an event previously, but after the event, both accounts have been deleted. A reboot does not solve the issue. As long as you run "sudo service x2goserver restart", the error log comes back and keeps repeating itself. Can someone suggest a way to purge these zombie sessions so that I don't see the error logs again? thanks

Timeout user sessions

Hello everyone, I was wondering if there is a way to timeout sessions after a certain period of inactivity? I have several users launching application through X2Go and they may leave the windows idle for several days. Ideally I would like to be able to kill those sessions after a certain period of inactivity. Is this possible? Thanks!
