X2goclient DPI setting

Hi -- What does the "Set display DPI" session preferences do? I have a new 4K high-dpi display (161 dpi) and I'm connecting to a remote X2go session. The window to the remote is small and any window I open in the remote has fonts scaled to 96 dpi, which makes them hard to read. how to create a custom desktop session

Hello everyone, I use the emacs window manager EXWM on my remote computer whith lightdm. How can I create a session for emacs EXWM? I am using the x2goclient. I have tried custom desktop with the command "startx" and "/etc/x2go/xsession", I have also tried to run a single application session with path to .xinitrc. My xinitrc has the following content: #!/usr/bin/env bash xhost + exec dbus-launch --exit-with-session emacs Please give me some advice on how to get this working. Thank you!

Errors with 4.1.0.0.0 x2goserver-x2goagent

I am trying to use reportbug to report a bug with this but as soon as I type into a terminal: reportbug -b x2goserver-x2goagent It explodes the x2go session and tears down the connection. I am having a problem with x2goagent exploding. Problem running audio applications in TCE mode

Hi, I'm still struggling to make my TCE setup work correctly. I managed to fix about every bits here and there but there is still one important part that I can't get to fix which is managing audio applications to work in TCE mode. To be clear, what I call "TCE mode" is pxe booting an diskless station with x2gothinclient (per the doc setup with default settings, Debian wheezy based with heuler x2go client) When I open a X2Go session with a local x2go client on my Ubuntu laptop (or even with x2goclient under windows), no problem, I have sound with PulseAudio fully working, I can play videos on youtube, hear MP3s with totem or any other audio application. Running the same session with a TCE client works great until I want to hear a sound ... youtube videos are hanging with no sound, playing MP3s don't even start. Anything related to PulseAudio seems broken in TCE mode and this is very annoying to me because we'd like to deploy TCEs in my company to replace about 150 Windows PCs but this is for a call center so if audio is not working, this is a no go. I'm pretty sure this can be fixed with some PulseAudio configuration tuning but I must admit that I'm totally confused by PA and I don't understand a bit of the beast so any help would be gladly welcomed ! Nightly Builds and artica-project Repositories

Are there RPM repositories for nightly builds and the artica-project where I can get the necessary fixes for Fedora 24 similar to those for Ubuntu 16.04? I have the exact same problem with Fedora 24 as I did with Ubuntu 16.04 where it wants a newer version of xrandr than 1.2. Using the Windows and Mac clients we’re getting this error connecting to a Fedora 24 server. Seem like a problem with the perl installation. Connection failed. /usr/bin/perl: symbol lookup error: /usr/local/lib64/perl5/auto/DBI/DBI.so: undefined symbol: Perl_xs_apiversion_bootcheck perl -v This is perl 5, version 22, subversion 2 (v5.22.2) built for x86_64-linux-thread-multi (with 17 registered patches, see perl -V for more detail) which perl /usr/bin/perl Seems like multiple installations. Any quick fix for this?

Installing libs

I used dpkg -i file, same as the software installer. Is there’s an X2GO version that runs smoothly on RH7.0. or RH7.2. If not, then what’s the latest version of RH that is supported by X2GO? thanks

Fedora 24

Puzzling stuff with Fedora 24 and x2go, it has the same issue as Ubuntu 16.04 with respect to xrandr being 1.2 and needing 1.3 (command line version is 1.5), yet it somehow manages to update the screen size anyway. Another problem, no /var/run/utmp entry made with x2go logins, not even if you open up a terminal. It allows me or other users to be completely invisible without examining processes. Both who and w return nothing. Trying to get x2go working properly from NoMachine

Hi All I am trying to get x2go working on a virtual (headless) OpenSuse 13.2 KDE server. I have used NoMachine in the past on a hardware Workstation with no issues. It starts the session and reconnects fine when the line drops. On the new server though the graphics are slow and on reconnect the colours on some applications are incorrect, (Eclipse - white on white isn't readable). I've pulled the latest x2go client for the Windows laptop and installed x2go via Yast. Now to side track a little. I mostly use this virtual desktop from my laptop which can have 3 possible monitor situations. 1)On own - smallish widescreen 2)With internal screen and single external monitor at 1280x1024 (external is Display 2) 3)With 2 external monitors - Display 1 is the 1280x1024 I want to use Sometimes I will pull laptop from docking station effectively switching to 1) above. Then put back and need the display to be handled appropriately. NoMachine player does very well. It seems to remember where I put the display and sends to the correct monitor, even on resume. Issues Using x2go client the fonts are too big. Nomachine and PyHoca-GUI get it right. Xlsfont on NoMachine and PyHoca show thousands of entries, x2go client has around 700. I installed the fonts with the application. X2go client crashes on resume. I create session OK, full screen on the 1280x1200 monitor. On resume it tries to open a smallish window and then the xserver crashes. The PyHoca does work as intended if I use "Maximise" but then the "window" takes over the monitor and I can't easily switch to other apps on that screen and back again. CTRL-ALT-M will let me access other apps but then it's hard to switch back. PyHoca full screen tries to use both screens on laptop - not what I want. Sometimes I can't resume. I get errors about nxproxy or no permission to display in error log. Then I usually have to go to server and manually remove old session files and try to get a new session. This hasn't been an issue so far but could be if I got disconnected while editing. I really hope to get x2go to work as it seems far quicker than NoMachine in this circumstance. But I do need it to be stable and reliable. Nomachine server 3 (last one with virtual desktops) has worked great. I can resume sessions in different resolutions and on different client machines and all my programmes are there, including remote apps throwing screens back to the "workstation".
