Emacs crashes on start

Hi I'm connecting from a Mac (X2Go Client v. 4.0.5.1 (Qt - 4.8.7)) to Fedora 24 with a xfce session using the x2goserver-4.0.1.19-11.fc24.x86_64 packages from the fedora repos. On starting emacs, I get the error below. This issue seems to have been around for a while in similar forms, but didn't affect me under Fedora 22. Is anyone in a position to confirm this issue on Fedora 24 and suggest a work around? I tried setting various environment variables suggested on various web pages for similar issues and in the bug report noted in the error message (and checked /etc/PROBLEMS), but nothing was effective. emacs starts fine in an xfce session at the console. Shared Folders?

I am not able to get the basic Shared Folder capability to run. Debian 7 Linux OS on client and server, X2go V 4.0.3.0, and XFCE Desktop. Is there something fundamental preventing this from working? Thanks in advance, - KarlW

Num Lock key in windows agent

Hi all. First of all, I'd like to congratulate all the contributors for this great work. X2go is a professional class tool for remote desktop. However... I ran into a really special thing using the windows agent in its last version (4.0.5). Sometimes, when you open the session, the "Num Lock" is usable, sometimes not. I mean, sometimes you may push the caps lock button and switch from arrows to Numeric keys, and sometimes the Key Pad is fully unusable. It happens only on windows agent as far as I know. x2goclient session icons not working

Hello, I have upgraded to 4.0.4.0 on win32. It's a minor thing but if I now set a session icon for a connection it is not displayed and I get blank instead. Is there something I need to do to get this to work? Thanks Will

Upcoming Deprecation of EOL Distributions

Hi In order to lower resource stress when building packages, I plan to deprecate support for distributions that have reached End Of Life on September 4th 2016. This includes the following distro versions: - Debian: o 6.0 "squeeze" - Fedora o 19 o 20 o 21 o 22 - OpenSuSE o 12.2 o 12.3 o 13.1 - SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (not Server!) o 11.2 o 11.3 After deprecation, no new builds will be published and existing builds will be deleted from the repositories to discourage users from installing unmaintained software. Hi Robert, 1. I updated the email subject to make it more clear. 2. For those who do not know, this is a reply to Robert's nx-libs 3.5.99.1 upgrade issue as listed in: http://bugs.x2go.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1089 3. Software installer is the wrong tool for the job. "dpkg -i" does not work with apt repos. It also doesn't handle dependency resolution. 4. To add this apt repo on Ubuntu 16.04, you would create a file with a name like this: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/nx-libs-beta.list ("nx-libs-beta" can differ. The folder path and the ".list" extension must be the same.) with these contents: deb http://packages.arctica-project.org/ubuntu xenial main You also run this command: wget -qO - http://packages.arctica-project.org/archive.key | sudo apt-key add - 5. To recover your system, I recommend the following: a. Run `apt-get update` b. Run `apt-cache search libnx` c. Uninstall all the libnx packages, such as by running: sudo apt-get purge <package-list> Note that this step (or the next one) will result in x2goclient and x2goserver being uninstalled. That should be OK, see step f. d. Also remove "nxproxy" if it is still installed. e. Add the nx-libs 3.5.99.1 repo from #4. f. Install x2goclient or x2goserver (+ any other client/server packages.) This should pull in nx-libs 3.5.99.1. 6. For those who are wondering why this upgrade issue can occur when using "dpkg -i" on all the nx-libs deb packages, it is because nx-libs 3.6 drops many of the X11 libraries that were part of nx-libs 3.5 in favor of the system's X11 libraries.
